Preservation Texas's powerful exhibit features striking black-and-white photographs taken in 1936 by architect Marvin Eickenroht as part of the Historic American Buildings Survey, the nation's first federal preservation initiative.
The guest speaker, Victor Hurtado, West Texas Program Officer for Preservation Texas, will share the story behind the photographs and the HABS program's impact on preserving our region's heritage. He will also share about the mission and goals of Preservation Texas, especially the new West Texas Heritage Center.
